We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We have been preparing and planning for this celebration and we are so excited that it’s almost here! We have prayerfully decided that the focus for the weekend will be “Faith Forward: Honoring Our Legacy and Building Our Future”. From it’s very beginning, the Nazarene Church in Oakdale has been one that stepped out in faith against all odds. We built our first building during the era of the Great Depression, which took a huge amount of faith and brought the church forward in God’s calling – “Faith Forward”. We want to Honor Our Legacy by focusing on the ways we’ve reached the community of Oakdale for Christ and by sharing stories of God’s faithfulness and goodness throughout the life of the church. Pastors Jeremy and Chelsea are also looking forward to celebrating the ways God is leading us in faith towards the future for Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene – “Faith Forward”. We believe it will be a WONDERFUL time of celebrating all that God has done in the past and anticipating all that God will do in our future.

Saturday, August 30: 11am-1pm, Family BBQ – We’re planning for a fun time for all ages. In true Oakdale fashion, we’ll have a mechanical bull for the young (and young at heart) to attempt while enjoying some great food and fellowship. Don’t forget to bring your hat and boots!

Saturday, August 30: 6pm-8pm, Dinner – We’ll gather those who are ages 13+ for a wonderful time of honoring the legacy that Oakdale Family Church has built in the 105 years of ministering to this community. We’re looking forward to hearing from various pastors who have served or have been raised in Oakdale and honoring those who have given to the ministry of the church wholeheartedly. Sunday, August 31: 9am, Breakfast – During this time, we’ll partake in a meal and Central Cal District Superintendent, Daren Pitcher will share a word of encouragement.

Sunday, August 31: 10:30am, Celebration Service – We’ll celebrate all the Lord has done (Honoring Our Legacy) and Pastors Jeremy and Chelsea will share where He is leading us in Building Our Future. We are also looking forward to worshipping in song with children from our OFC Naz Kids program. It’s going to be a beautifully God honoring time that you won’t want to miss!
